Music has always been of great interest to me. When I look back, it seems to me that there has never been a day that did not revolve around music in some ways. Even when I had to bury myself in books preparing for exams, I still found time to stroke one or two chords – it always did, and still does ease my mind.

Very early on I started to use my computer for making music. I worked with a program called tripleDAT that allowed you to record, edit and CD-burn your music. Even compared to contemporary programs, the possibilities and the quality of tripleDAT was quite impressive.
Some years later I started to use Cubase VST, that allowed me to implement new sounds into my tunes other than just my guitar and singing, as I finally could mess with Midi and synthesizers. When Steinberg came up with the VST 2 standard, introducing the possibility for hosting native synths and samplers, I soon realized that this was going to change music-making in general and mine in particular. And it has.

Today, I use a wide range of software, each single one dedicated to specific parts of the creative process – among others, those are: Tracktion, Cubase SX, Ableton Live, energyXT and WaveLab. I also heavily use the following plug-ins: Guitar Rig, Kontakt, BFD, GUP-1, Hydratone, Ambience and many others.
And of course, I still play and record my beloved guitars.

Music styles

When you have visited the Songs section of my site, then you know that I am doing very different kind of styles. This actually reflects me quite appropriately. Doing nothing but Hard Rock for instance would bore me to death.
